ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
TMT accepts students who are 16 and have completed year 10 or equivalent, there is no maximum age limit. If you are an international student, you must have a minimum English language level of IELTS 5 or equivalent. International Students must be at least 18 years of age.
Applicants who are not able to demonstrate that they meet the criteria above, nevertheless, believe that they satisfy TMT’s English requirements, may request to complete a Language literacy and numeracy assessment (LLN), prior to a formal interview by the Principal / Head Teacher at the College.
Applicants without completing year 12 are required to do the LLN Test [Language, Literacy and Numeracy Test], this test is used to identify any supports a student might require.
DURATION
The full-time duration of this course takes 12 months to complete, including two days per week on campus study and 125 – 200 hours of in-salon work experience training .
STUDY REQUIREMENTS
For full time study, this course requires 30 – 35 hours nominal hours of study per week. This consists of attending 2 days / week face to face class and 125 – 200 hours of in-salon work experience training, participate in live online classroom sessions, watching video recordings, structured learning activities, including homework, assignments, assessment preparation and online study. Beauty is a practical hands-on discipline, you are required to do practical exercise on campus training salons and/or work experience in commercial settings.

Students are recommended to purchase a personal beauty kit, which they can retain and use offsite and on-campus during the course and after graduation. An extensive makeup, waxing, lash tinting and lash extension kits are available to purchase from our preferred suppliers for $1,750.

WORK PLACEMENT
Student training salon participation is mandatory for this qualification. Students are required to participate in student salon training days and work on real fee paying clients
Work experience with suitable industry employer outside the college provides you with exposure to situations and circumstances that cannot be replicated in a learning or simulated environment.
Work experience with external employers is not mandatory for this qualification; however, this is a highly practical course. We strongly recommend you undertake work experience with a suitable industry employer.
